The 50 Dates 50 States Story
It all started when the first COVID-19 lockdowns began in March of 2020, Matt tasked himself with a goal of going on a virtual date with a girl from every state. Along the way, he put out highlights of his virtual dates on TikTok, where he accumulated millions of views and likes across his videos all while growing a rapid following.
After completing all of his virtual dates, Matt decided to take a jump and quit his job to travel to all 50 states to go on in-person dates with all the girls he met virtually. He got his 2001 Ford F150 (with almost 200,000 miles on it) wrapped with his logo and hit the road.
After 5 1/2 months on the road Matt officially completed his 50 Dates 50 States journey going on adventurous dates like zip lining, bike riding, go-kart racing, 4 wheeling, horse back riding and much more. He was able to spike his following to over 350k followers across platforms while surpassing over 70 million views on his content. However, Matt had bigger plans in mind.
He created a Season 2 of 50 Dates 50 States where he planned to do it all again but in much bigger fashion. He had single women apply through his website, where he got over 10,000 applications in less than 2 months. After narrowing it down to the lucky 50, he hit the road in a new 50 Dates 50 States vehicle, a Dodge Challenger. With a cameraman by his side, Matt documented each date he went on into date episodes on YouTube while putting clips out across all his other platforms. Matt had his Season 2 finale on Good Morning America where he brought his top 4 dates to New York City and picked his winner LIVE from Times Square.
That wasn’t it for Matt and the brand of 50 Dates 50 States though. After Season 2, Matt got to the drawing board on how he could take things to the next level for a Season 3. He created a entirely different format to the show that included an elimination factor – the 50 Dates 50 States hearts. Each girl would receive a heart with their state on it, after their date Matt would have to decide if he was going to keep their heart or break it. The Top 5 hearts Matt kept by the end of the season would be invited out to a Top 5 finale.
And ladies and gentlemen that’s exactly how Season 3 went. Matt hopped in a new 50 Dates 50 States car – a cherry red Ford Mustang – and hit the road for the 3rd and final time. The season took new heights accumulated over 221 million views across social media and growing a following of over 900,000 followers across platforms. Matt took on new adventures like skydiving in Hawaii, jumping off a 400 ft cliff in Utah and flying a plane in the mountains of Alaska.
Season 3 concluded with a Top 5 finale at a beautiful cabin estate in South Dakota where Matt and his Top 5 dates had an eventful 3-day finale weekend. They did group activities such as UTV riding in the Black Hills, gambling at the casino in Deadwood, having fine dining experiences, sponsor competitions and lots more. It all ended with a finale ceremony where Matt picked his winning date of the season – Alli from Massachusetts. As the winner, Alli and Matt will go on a 7-night all inclusive cruise to the Bahamas.
After 3 seasons – 50 Dates 50 States has grown a following of over 900,000 followers across platforms, accumulated over 500 million views on content and has been featured on over 100+ media outlets nationwide.
Matt’s goal remains to make 50 Dates 50 States the biggest dating show in the country and continue to take it to the next level whether thats on social media or TV/streaming.
